Soul Care Fundamentals Self-Guided Training Begins July 26
Would you like to provide a deeper level of discipleship to others, but aren’t sure where to start?
Be equipped to offer help and hope to others with Soul Care Fundamentals training. You will be trained toward greater Christlikeness through the intentional ministry of the Scriptures for the glory of God. Soul Care Fundamentals is compassionate, burden-bearing through the focused ministry of the Word of God, enabled by the Holy Spirit and prayer. Your “job” is not to cure, but to care.
Our counseling training will equip you with a solid foundation in biblical principles and counseling methodology, to offer guidance and support to those facing various life challenges. In addition, our intensive discipleship training fosters a deeper understanding of the Scriptures, helping you grow spiritually and become an effective leader in your community.

Self-Guided Training with Discussion Groups
This 10-session option is only for those attending Ascend Church and begins July 26th. This self-directed training only requires about two hours of your time each week. Depending on the class you sign up for, we will have discussions during the second service on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Sunday each month.

On-Demand Training
This recorded course covers a portion of the Step One requirement toward certification with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). The cost is $75.00. Once you register, you’ll receive:
- A digital manual/workbook
- A link to create your account
- Access to enroll in the course and begin
FAQ
Who can attend training?
Anyone interested in Soul Care (discipleship) training can attend. You do not need to be involved in a counseling ministry to attend.
Is childcare provided?
There is no childcare provided for in-person training or on-demand discussions.
What is ACBC?
The Association of Certified Biblical Counselors is a training and certifying organization seeking to equip Christians to counsel others biblically.
Will completing the training count toward my ACBC certification?
Yes! Attending all three In-Person Instructor-Guided Fast-Track Training weekends or completing the 10-week Self-Guided Training With Discussion Groups will satisfy the ACBC Fundamentals training requirement.
