Ascend Kids ministry provides a safe place for children to learn the truths of the gospel and biblical principles in age-appropriate ways – while having fun. We use a curriculum designed to instill in children the love, faith, and knowledge that will one day lead to righteous living.

Ascend Babies
Sundays, 8:00, 9:30, & 11:00 am
Infants (Birth–12 months)
A calm, caring space where our littlest ones are held, prayed for, and comforted. Volunteers provide gentle play, soothing music, and love to the kids, so that parents can worship with peace of mind. Diaper changes follow our safety and hygiene guidelines.
1-Year-Olds
Our walkers get a safe room to move, stack, and discover! We sing simple worship songs, enjoy sensory play, and learn to share with others. Diaper changes and snacks follow parent preferences and posted allergy guidelines.
2-Year-Olds
Busy explorers who best through play and repetition. We enjoy check-in routines, a short prayer, small Worship, a brief Bible story with visuals, and guided activities (snack and playground). Potty/diaper needs are handled by policy and communicated at pick-up.
Ascend Littles
Sundays, 8:00, 9:30, & 11:00 am
3-Year-Olds
This class bridges play and structured learning. Kids begin with a welcome time, then head to Littles Worship for a hands-on Bible lesson, followed by a playground/bathroom break and snack time. We focus on kindness, sharing, and simple Bible truths.
Pre-K (4–5 years)
Pre-K kids are ready for bigger stories and big feelings! We attend Littles Worship together, hear the Bible story, talk about what it means, and respond with crafts and games. Leaders highlight one big truth each month to help reinforce it at home.
Ascend Bigs
Sundays, 8:00, 9:30, & 11:00 am
Kindergarten–1st Grade
Early readers and question-askers thrive here. After check-in, we head to Bigs Worship, then return for small-group discussion, a short activity, and prayer. Each week emphasizes a simple gospel connection kids can remember and share.
2nd–3rd Grade
Growing disciples practice opening their Bibles, discussing questions, and applying God’s Word. We attend Bigs Worship, then break into small groups for scripture, activities, and a clear “live it out” challenge for the week.

- Diaper bag with diapers/pull-ups, wipes, and a labeled bottle or sippy cup

- Bible (We open it every week)

Ascend Kids Curriculum
Ascend Kids Registration
Step 1:
Register online ahead of time or before Sunday services at the Ascend Kids Welcome Desk. Complete check-in with a volunteer at the desk. At check-in, your child will receive a name tag sticker. You will receive a corresponding parent tag required for pick-up.
Step 2:
Drop your child off at their age-appropriate class. A volunteer will be available to assist you in finding the correct classroom.
Step 3:
Pick your child up after the service at their age-appropriate classroom. Don’t forget to bring your parent tag from check-in – we require it for the security of all children!

Do I need to register ahead of time?
To make your Sunday morning go as smoothly as possible, we encourage pre-registration of your child! Use our online registration form and enjoy a quick, easy check-in.
Where exactly do I take my child for Ascend Kids?
When you arrive at Ascend Church, head straight to the Ascend Kids Welcome Center. Classes are offered during the 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 AM services.
Is the Curriculum geared towards my kids’ age?
Yes! At Ascend Kids, we use The Gospel Project curriculum, which is designed with age-appropriate lessons for every stage. Each class connects kids to biblical truth in ways they can understand, without watering it down.
Who is watching the kids?
Our Ascend Kids leadership team is specially chosen to serve your family. We value kids program staff who love Jesus and desire to show that love to your children while utilizing the best practices in both teaching and child safety.
Each staff member is properly trained to ensure a safe and secure environment for children in our Sunday morning ministry activities.
What precautions do you take to ensure child safety?
To prioritize your child’s safety, we have created security policies and procedures to provide a safe environment at Ascend. We have a first-aid team on notice, an abuse policy in place, and overall care and control of all areas where children are present.
Do you perform background checks on volunteers?
All Ascend Kids staff undergo a detailed application process that includes a thorough background check.
How are the classes divided up?
Our Kids programs are divided by age group so that each child is safe and able to understand the curriculum.
How do I know if my child needs me?
We have implemented a system which will notify you during the service if you are needed in your child’s class.
What is your sickness policy?
At Ascend Kids, we care about keeping kids and volunteers healthy. Please check our sickness policy if you’re unsure whether your child is ready to attend.
