When speaking into a counselee’s life, biblical counselors provide guidance rooted in Scripture, emphasizing sanctification and transformation through the gospel but they also must have a well-rounded understanding of psychiatric medication, including current practices in the fields that prescribe these mind-altering drugs. This knowledge equips counselors to engage wisely and compassionately with counselees who are taking such medications.
